Airport lands deal for two corporate jets

Lorain County Regional Airport gains two more jets as Johnston Aviation reaches agreements with Spitzer Management and the Dolan Group to base private aircraft there. The move aims to add about 25 jobs and shift the airport toward commercial aviation while plans for condominium hangars are advanced. The Lear Jet 45 previously based in Cleveland may be relocated, with hanger improvements anticipated.

Road to close during bridge repairs in Huntington Twp

Stewart Road will be closed between Clark and Baker roads in Huntington Township beginning Monday for emergency bridge repairs. Crews will pour a new reinforced concrete deck. Repairs estimated at three to four weeks with posted detours. Lorain County Engineer's Office. Call 829-5586 for details.
