Elyria school board will accept resignations from over 70 staff in the district’s early retirement buyout. The board will also vote to allow Superintendent E Jean Harper to leave 40 positions vacant to help the district stay financially solvent over five years. Interim Superintendent Roger Lulow introduced the plan, aiming to trim at least 25 certified and 14 classified roles to prevent an 18 million shortfall.
