China sent reinforcements to its border with the Soviet Union in Central Asia as frontier incidents rose. Talks in Peking on Soviet Chinese boundary have stalled with little prospect of a settlement. Loon Misguided Migration Lands On Grafton Street
A common loon was found on Willow Street in Grafton unable to take off due to feet set far back. The bird, uninjured but with sore feet, was placed in a box and taken to a water area for release after a crew member from the electric department spotted it.
