New York police report John Fiorenza a 24 year old Brooklyn upholsterer as confessing to the attack and murder of Nancy Evans Titterton a short story writer found dead in her Beekman Place apartment. Fire Destroys Large New Bank Barn
A fire near Brighton Center destroyed a large new bank barn and much stock on Walter Peck farm. Two horses, six cows, two calves, three sheep and hogs, a Chevrolet sedan, hay, grain, corn and fodder were lost. Wellington fire department saved the granary and nearby buildings. The barn, built two years ago, was insured for 2000. contents had no coverage. Lightning was suspected as the possible cause.

Boy Hurt When Car Hits At 16th Street
Thomas Pomelée six suffers two broken legs after being struck at 16th Street and Fast Avenue by a car driven by Mrs. R H Forney of LaPorte. The driver stopped, her daughter Dorothy 15 helped lift the boy, Archie Hahn of Ridge Road drove them to Elyria Memorial Hospital. Forney was driving to Elyria High School with her daughter and two other children when the boy stepped into the street. Police report the horse broke from a group and ran in front of the car. Two minor accidents reported yesterday by police involve a girl seen fleeing after a collision on Lake Avenue near Rush Street and a separate minor crash on Middle Avenue in front of the Lorain County Bank.

He used his overcoat as a sling and, with Loren Portman, rushed the injured girl to Memorial Hospital where she received oxygen for shock and breathing difficulties.
