Western basin anglers report jig fishing outperforming trolling with mid lag reef focus west of Port Clinton and near the islands. Jig colors purple chartreuse and white on 10 to 16 feet of water. minnows on jigs. Trolling targets Kelleys Island, deep waters 30 to 46 feet with 80 to 110 feet back at 1 to 1.5 mph.
