Humpback whale sighting reported off southern Greece
In Athens a young humpback about 35 feet long and four to five years old was seen in the Argolic Gulf near Tolos, cruising the Mediterranean. Marine biologists from the Greek Society for the Study and Protection of Dolphins and Whales placed observers to document its visit and sounds as it likely heads toward the Atlantic.
