Caretakers appointed for Meyer Goldberg stores in Lorain County
Lorain County Common Pleas Judge Paul Mikus issued a temporary order naming six Meyer Goldberg supermarket managers as court caretakers to run stores and pay salaries while overseeing revenues. Lay teachers to return to Cleveland Diocese high schools
CHALTA members authorized to return Monday ending a strike begun April 3 at ten diocesan high schools in Cuyahoga Lake Summit and Lorain counties. The union says substantial movement in negotiations remains and federal mediator Harold Gold will supervise next week talks. Enrollment totals 8,400 pupils with about 315 lay teachers affected.
