Welfare Study Could Convert Sanatorium Wing to Welfare Hospital
A Lorain County board weighs converting part of Pleasant View Sanatorium to a general hospital for welfare patients. Dr. Henry Frankle says 17 beds could serve medical cases at about $1,000 weekly, needing at least 10 patients to support conversion, as TB declines. An outline of data requests to hospitals and agencies will guide the study.
