Reform faces big test in college athletics reform
INDIANAPOLIS Nearly two years of work on academic integrity and recruiting reform set to face a major test as NCAA Management Council meets to consider proposals endorsed by President Myles Brand. Turner and Berst push for penalties tied to graduation and academic progress and tighter controls on recruiting. If approved, sanctions could begin next year with escalating penalties up to loss of NCAA money after four years.
