Lorain County to sue State for seventy thousand dollars
Lorain County plans to sue the State of Ohio in Franklin County Common Pleas Court to recover about 70 000 dollars. Prosecutor Howard R. Butler says the suit follows board authorization after discussions on the feasibility of action. The claim covers 53 600 dollars for overcharge payments 1925 1926 and 8 827 dollars in criminal court fees. The strategy seeks an injunction blocking state withholding of the county sales tax share then withholding further payments until full adjustment.
