In Columbus on April 18 the House passed the Whittemore bill to extend the general bond refunding law for four more years and to authorize refunding of matured or maturing special assessment bonds. The emergency measure, approved 99 to 4, extends the current refunding period to June 30, 1939 and allows re assessment of benefited property with State Bureau of Inspection consent. The bill, introduced by Senator F. E. Whittemore of Akron, had cleared the Senate and returns for House concurrence on amendments.

Relief Budget Of 83 469 For May Submitted
Lorain County Relief administration submitted a relief budget for May of 83 469 to federal relief officials in Columbus for approval.
