Historic Texas Names Honored in Dial System Change
Austin dispatch notes a Nov installation of a telephone dial system replacing letters with digits. Names Travis and Crockett, Texas history figures, will be referenced in textbooks less as proper names and more as dial-ready terms, as the system shifts to digit-based input. A London report adds that Bre Mylius, age 100, in Twickenham has played harp for 94 years and can still perform duets on feats of keyboard and harp.
