Trial reveals discrepancies in Krieger and Oliver accounts
The trial features Oliver, still in a neck brace, claiming an officer slammed him against a wall while Krieger disputes this. Both men faced dropped charges earlier, and witnesses like Brian Burke describe an explosion in the Jacobs Field smoking area with differing interpretations of a red streak or a reflected glow. Cleveland police officer David Smith testifies about a vendor’s tip linking Mendez, Oliver, and Krieger to the blast.
