Water rate cut for RLCWA amid Avon Lake supply changes
Avon Lake informs the Rural Lorain County Water Authority that new water rates will be reduced by one cent per 1,000 gallons due to selling water to Sheffield Village and using ALCWA lines. NEW RATES tiered by usage include 0.73, 0.67, 0.61, 0.55, and 0.49 per 1,000 gallons. The authority funded a $404,000 project to add two elevated storage tanks and will discuss emergency connections with Wakeman, West Salem, and South Amherst. Construction is underway to extend a line to New London for an emergency link.
