Robert Tomazin Named Acting Chief of Grange Police
Robert Omazin Tomazin, 43, has been named acting chief of police in LaGrange beginning after the retirement of Chief Johnny Mills. A long time area resident, he joined the fire force in 1970, graduated from Marysville High, served in the U.S. Navy, and now works as an official in charge of security at the Deval Aviation Administration facility in Oberlin. Tomazin has completed police and state training, served five years as a member protector in Lorain Medina and Cuyahoga counties, ten years with the state highway patrol auxiliary, and five years with Carroll County Civil Sense. He and his wife Doris live with their three children at 3204 Oberlin Road. His appointment was approved by LaGrange Council, with a raise to 640 per month plus hourly patrol pay. a second part time patrol position is being sought to complete the force.

Lorain man pleads guilty to robbery
Dennis A Tolley 21 of Lorain pleaded guilty to a robbery indictment arraigned before Judge Paul J Mikus. His case was sent to the probation department for a pre sentence report. Tolley allegedly robbed Ernest Horvath of 50 dollars on January 31. David Policy 21 of Lorain, in the same transaction, pleaded guilty to assault and battery and was referred to the adult probation department. Audrey J Malone 26 of Cleveland had an indictment for uttering a forged check 103 dollars dismissed at prosecutor request.
