Eaton School Heating System Approved By Midview Board
GRAFTON Plans and specifications for a new heating system at Eaton School were approved last night by the Midview Board of Education. Bids will be advertised Friday for the job costing about 20 000 dollars. They will be opened May 18. Architect Harold Hock explained the hot water system and its advantages over the present steam heat, noting better regulation and lower operating costs. He also addressed unsatisfactory locks at Grafton School, saying the locks were installed per specification but the manufacturer’s quality had declined, and payment withholdings could not be made since the contractor installed the equipment properly.
