Delays will occur as two I-480 interchanges are affected. crews will stage lane closures and a temporary road in May to ease traffic. Estimated total cost about 13 million dollars with funding from federal and county authorities.

Three motorists hurt in two Lorain crashes
Lorain firefighters said two separate afternoon crashes injured at least three motorists. The first, a hit and run at East 26th Street and Elyria Avenue around 12:15 p.m., required extrication. The second, at Ashland Avenue and Tower Boulevard about 1:50 p.m., involved four cars, a stopped SUV, and left the SUV driver hospitalized. Police did not yet provide reports.

A 38 year old Lorain man, Anthony Garcia, was charged with aggravated robbery, theft and breaking and entering after a 6 45 a m incident at Fuel Mart on Oberlin Elyria Road. He returned to the store to buy beer and jerky and demanded about 160 dollars from the register while hinting he had a weapon. Deputies traced him to a white Buick Riviera parked at Wilkes Villa in Elyria and arrested him later Thursday.
