Zito hopes for Derby shot with two year olds at Keeneland and Oaklawn
Nick Zito battles a lean Derby campaign with Little Cliff and Superfly in the Blue Grass at Keeneland and Arkansas Derby at Oaklawn Park. Despite injuries and poor results, the Hall of Fame trainer stays upbeat as he chases a single Derby prospect for 2006. With top rivals like First Samurai, Bluegrass Cat, Lawyer Ron and Strong Contender, Zito still believes in his year and aims Hemingway's Key in the Lexington Stakes on April 22 as a final bid path.
