Amherst announces early registration for Powers School. Parents must register by July 1 with the child’s birth certificate immunization record and smallpox date. Immunizations must be complete by Sept 1. Kindergarten entry age five by Sept 1 and first grade six by Sept 1. Early entry tests available June 6 and 10 for unusually advanced applicants. Present K–3 enrollment is 1,100.
