Plas pleads not guilty to murder in 2008 Stevens case
Matthew Plas appears in Lorain County Common Pleas Court on four counts of aggravated murder related to the 2008 Carlisle Reservation attack on Shawn Stevens. He has not guilty pleas on murder charges, two motions seek dismissal over double jeopardy, and a May 3 pretrial date is set while he remains in custody. Stevens, a mother and grandmother, was beaten robbed sexually assaulted and left in the trunk of Plas car.
