A man and a woman killed in an automobile crash at Long Beach California Sunday night have been identified as David Wils 25 and Mrs Bernice Miller Anderson 30 of Kenton wanted for murder and robbery. Sheriff KL Clark was informed by J R Worley chief of detectives at Long Beach. The man was killed instantly and Willis body will be returned to Kenton for burial Mrs Anderson probably will be buried at Long Beach.

New Lexington Ohio April 13 another coal mine village in Perry County is about to be abandoned at Gaston four miles east of New Lexington It has about 25 mine homes owned by the Gosling Coal Co of Toledo The Gosling mine formerly employed about 250 men and contains four rooms each to be sold at 100 dollars following an inspection by W A Gosling Jr of Toledo The mine lands include about 1 000 acres yet undeveloped but the mine has not operated since 1922 except on two occasions when rented to miners who worked unsuccessfully

Joseph Martinko aged 28 of 2528 Ke 33rd Street died after being struck by a vehicle driven by Herbert Burton of 2305 East 29th Street. Police say Martinko walked into the path of the car on East 28th Street as it traveled at a moderate speed. Barton was exonerated and the coroner ruled the death accidental. It is the sixth traffic fatality in Lorain in three weeks.

Convicts Escape From Ohio Penitentiary Using Ladder
Two inmates William Rich and Rufus Deeds slipped past guards and fled the Ohio penitentiary campus about one hundred yards from the east wall. Rich, 27, held for burglary from Cleveland and admitted March 30 1923, and Deeds, 32, held for robbery from Lawrence county and admitted December 11 1923, were employed at the night shift in the power plant. They used a ladder and tools found around the plant to scale the wall. Deputy Warden Woodward questioned guards who said the pair acted without their involvement. Deeds previously served a term for larceny from Fairfield county.

In Chambersburg Pennsylvania, four year old Tommy Ruby shot his mother after she refused to let him play with matches.
