In Augusta AP report Dr Ken Henderson director of the neonatal unit at the Medical Center of Central Georgia refused to admit premature infant Jana Kyle Cleveland weighing about one pound, citing a policy against under 500 grams. He would have treated her if her true weight had been known as closer to two pounds. The baby, born 13 weeks early at Peach County Hospital Fort Valley, was sent to the Medical College of Georgia where she remained in critical but stable condition.
