Griffith Predicts Selective Draft Won’t Hurt Senators
Washington Senators owner President Clark Griffith said a 13 percent selective service ruling on Latin American imports will have little effect on the team’s pennant chances. He noted plans to keep only four or five of the players for the regular season and that several have already been sent to minor league clubs. The order requires the 13 players to register by June 12 or return to their native countries.
