Avon Lake to defend clerk in Kopf Town Center petition case

City council authorized Law Director Russell Provenza to defend council clerk Kathy Lynch in a suit by Citizens Concerned About the Town Center. The group seeks to force Lynch to file petitions with the Lorain County Board of Elections to place rezoning issues before voters in November. Lynch ruled petitions invalid for missing state law provisions. The group filed the case with the Ninth Appellate District Court of Appeals on March 29. Michael Gareau represents the group.

Bay man new director at NASA Lewis Center
