Oil Formed in Vast Amounts Says Scientist in The West
Dr Gustav Egloff told the American Chemical Society that oil may be created continuously by organic matter at depth, with oceans and diatoms yielding oil. He estimates natural formation could outpace pumping, citing Monterey shale and a potential 2 billion barrels from a vast bed, implying reserves around 20 billion barrels as a 16 year supply if no new finds occur.
