City building flys toward modernization amid health concerns
The A1 main office building dating to 1921 is condemned by officials as beyond its useful life. Rats raccoons racetracks of pests invade offices, mold and termites sap structure, and water intrudes through holes in the ceiling. City plans a $6 million redevelopment including a new office building and a rebuilt fire station to house the garage.
