County commissioners plan to hire Attorney Grover L. Severs, paid from Ridgeville water funds, to contest North Ridgeville's takeover of the county owned water system. Prosecutor Mikus says general funds cannot cover the legal expenses and staff cannot be paid for rendering services in this matter. The request, set for April 18, argues the arrangement is unfair to taxpayers and that outside counsel should handle the dispute and future proposed district serving Carlisle Eaton and Columbia townships.
