Lorain Man Tells Shaky Tale In Slaying Case
Lorain police pressed Alex Lengyel 19 a crane operator with National Tube Co about the death of Frances Leonard 339 widow and mother of two at 1025 Leavitt road. Lengyel admitted being with Mrs Leonard and left her home to return to his lunch box then took her car. He claimed the shooting may have been accidental and that Mrs Leonard held the weapon. Leonard died at St Josephs Hospital after being shot in the forehead. Police found the car later near East 34th street and Lengyel led officers to its location.
