Western Automatic workers win Army Navy recognition
Elyria's Western Automatic plant workers were honored by the Army and Navy for high achievement in producing materials of war. Management and employees accept the award with sober patriotic pride, aware many have relatives in the armed forces and determined not to let their sacrifices go unshared. The erecting of the "E" flag beneath the Stars and Stripes symbolizes their commitment to freedom and victory for the United Nations.
