Radio waves to another planet discussed by Oberlin professor
Professor Lloyd W. Taylor of Oberlin College spoke to the Exchange Club at the Park Hotel about the possibility of sending radio waves from Earth to another planet. He illustrated the talk with lantern slides and noted there is no rocket planned to reach the moon with a broadcasting set. He explained that if such a set could be heard after leaving certain atmospheric layers, it would support theories that radio waves do not bend back to Earth when sent upward.
