White House bathtub history and antique commode inquiry
The text discusses value factors for vintage toys and a 1961 All-Star game note, then asks about White House plumbing history. It cites a 1917 fabrication by H Mencken about Fillmore, notes Jackson installed a tub in 1831, Roosevelt modernized plumbing by 1902, and that indoor plumbing spread in the 1920s. It identifies Chittenden and Eastman, 1866 onward, possibly 1890s to 1920s for a commode.
