Lorain explores 225000 loan write off for St Joe Center plan
Lorain and Lorain County consider each investing 450000 into St Joe’s with a 225000 loan forgiveness from the state. The plan, discussed in Columbus with the Ohio Department of Development, would keep the center open and cut county costs, while a critic questions the lack of a business plan and opposes using taxpayer money. The proposal also includes tax breaks, a 300000 sale concession, and a 250000 facade boost for the facility near Broadway and West 21st Street.
