Ganoboik 88 of Cortland and formerly Elyria died Sunday April 2 2006 at St Elizabeth Medical Center Youngstown Born in Lorain she lived in Elyria 75 years and was a 1995 Elyria High School graduate A homemaker she worked in the early 1940s at General Industries Elyria She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church Champion served two terms as past president and founding member of the Senior Action Coalition Also a member of St Marys Church and the Altar and Rosary Society in Elyria Survivors include daughter Deborah Haas West Farmington a son Donald C Ganobeik Sanford NC seven grandchildren five great grandchildren She was preceded in death by husband Charles A Ganobeik son Roger Ganobeik and parents Charles and Wandanee Christman Friends will be received five to nine pm today at Shafer Winans Funeral Chapel Cortland Graveside services noon Thursday at Calvary Cemetery Chapel Lorain Rev Charles A Peal officiating Burial in Calvary Cemetery Lorain Shafer Winans Funeral Chapel Cortland handling arrangements

He was a Fitchville constable 1948 to 1951 and worked for the U S Department of Defense before retiring.
