One Bid Sought for Vacant Bronson School at Auction
Columbia Ohio reports only one bid of 25000 for the 11900 square foot Bronson School building on 17.4 acres at Root Road. Laurence Gertsma offered the bid, with the board reserving right to accept or reject at the April 18 meeting. The rural district plans two state mandated auctions before transfer to a real estate firm, appraised value at about 380000. The board also discussed bus safety at Hawke Root and Station roads and scheduled an April 9 executive session on negotiations.
