Just a Place to Stay Out of the Rain
Local author Jared Smith chronicles the Lorain County Infirmary 1868 to 1967 detailing residents farm work and daily life. He notes a 72 plot cemetery with 236 buried and no grave markers, last interment in 1935, now occasionally yielding bones. Smith airs his findings at library events in Grafton and Carlisle Township.
