Ruritan Club honors local community contributors
Tiffany Sommers and Rich Ruess receive Western Reserve Ruritan Club Community Service Awards at the March 27 meeting in Wakeman. Sommers, a 17-year-old junior, has logged over 500 hours at Fisher-Titus Medical Center and is active in 4-H sports and student council. Ruess, Hartland Township farmer and longtime club member, serves as treasurer and leads the yearly Raritan Toy Show, with 20 years of 4-H advisory work. The note also mentions awards for local students, upcoming fundraisers for Cinderella play ads, a rose sale by the New London Rotary, and events for Week of the Young Child.
