Lorain cops uncover a cache of drugs and firearms after raid led to 19 year old Jamar Jackson. The Lorain Narcotics Unit reported more than 70 grams of crack cocaine and 150 unit doses of a trigger. Police say the gunfire and firepower are unusually high for the area.
Lorain County pursues foreclosing on about 268 acres of land along the Black River near the steel plant owned by Republic Technologies International. The county says RTI owes about 99,568 in back taxes but has unclear ownership since RTI ceased operations and did not exist, complicating collection efforts. A sheriff sale would aim to recover taxes if the court approves the foreclosure.
