Judge Steele to get new trial in wife slaying

Former Euclid judge Robert L. Steele and brothers Owen and Martin Kilbane face a new trial within 60 days after US District Judge George White found the 1977 murder trial unfair. The ruling vacates convictions and cites prejudicial remarks and improper witness testimony including an FBI reading by Carol Braun.

Crash victim awarded $180000 in car collision suit

A jury awarded Robert R Brock of Amherst $180000 for injuries from a traffic crash on Oct 18 1975. The verdict against Rodney Bowling of Lorain stemmed from a collision between Bowling's car and a pole at 1946 Broadway. The case was heard before Judge Robert J Corts.
