Ohio Repeals Fuel Surcharge On Gas And Power
Ohio Gov James A Rhodes signed a bill voiding the five year old fuel cost surcharge on gas and electric bills effective July 2. Utilities may still include fuel costs in rate bases with semiannual PUCO reviews. The move aims to stabilize bills though full effects appear in fall. Rhodes also signed school aid and vocational education measures and extended the states dirty tricks law to cover ballot issues.
