Patrick M Crann died this morning at his sister Mrs A Valeries home 144 Huron Street after a period of poor health due to heart trouble. Born in Scotland December 22 1872 he emigrated with his parents to the United States and worked at a local factory for many years. He leaves a widow three sons Joseph and two sisters Mrs Itia and Mrs Amherst. Interment will be at St Agnes church Milwaukee. References to a separate legal case are noted in the text.
Lansing Mich April 3 Governor Alex J Groesbeck ordered an immediate investigation into the House of David instructing the attorney general to bring quo warranto proceedings in the Ingham county circuit court This action aims to force the group to justify its continued business The governor also asked the attorney general to urge the Berry county prosecuting attorney to file criminal charges against King Benjamin at once
