Public buses in Cleveland now beep when turning to boost pedestrian safety after a March 21 accident in which 59 year old Patrick Merrill of Berea was struck and died four days later. The National Weather Service reports Cleveland closed a March with just 1 inch of snow, the seventh-lowest since records began in the 1800s, far below last year’s 30.4 inches and the all-time March high.
