Memorial Trees Planted Across Ohio by Gluvna Chapel
Gluvna Funeral Chapel in Lorain planted the final of 750 memorial trees across Ohio in partnership with The Lofty Oaks Association. The living memorials honor deceased individuals with official certificates after dedication and support broader conservation efforts statewide. Youth from local schools directed United Way allocations totaling 3832 to four programs including Red Cross baby-sitting scholarships and disaster relief, prescription drug assistance, and after school mentoring. A Will Rogers tribute by Lance Brown will be at 7 p.m. April 9 at the West River Library Branch, free and open to the public. For submissions contact Ashley Kunaszewski.
