Goshen Boy Dies After Candy Like Drugs Given
Six year old Mark Stringer of the Gas light Village in Goshen died in a Cincinnati hospital after consuming a quantity of drugs he believed were candy. The boy fell ill after telling his parents he did not want supper because he had eaten candy given by friends. Clermont County Sheriff Donald Watson led a house to house survey to identify the source of the drugs, speculating other children may have obtained them from a medicine chest.
