New Milan fire alarm works A OK
Less than five hours after the new fire alarm system began operation the Milan village fire department tested its efficiency with a 425 pm call that reached 20 homes and businesses and triggered the siren for those without phones. The minor blaze at John Rommel residence 59 Huron St caused only minor external damage. Consultants found wells infeasible and options include treated Oberlin water, Kipton reservoir raw water, and a river water upgrade. Swanker will join Kipton delegates as an unofficial delegate at the April 15 meeting led by Albert Buck Jr.
