Water Department Cuts Off Volunteer Bill-Payment Work
The City water department suspends the practice of volunteers working out water bills due to strained finances. About 600 to 709 workers previously handled quarterly bills, providing 3500 to 4600 dollars in quarterly income, while the department seeks to balance a 50 000 dollar quarterly expense with reduced factory and industry consumption. The last day to pay this quarter’s water bills is April 15.
