Wakeman Auxiliary Hears Aide on Veterans Legislation
Mrs. Violet Aicholz, president of the Fifth District Auxiliary, spoke to the Wakeman American Legion Auxiliary on legislation affecting veterans urging members to write their congressman. Delegates chosen for Buckeye Girls State were Janet Dalton and Wanda Lloyd with alternates Mary Nolan and Lorna McClellan. New members Dora Morris and Ethel Noch were admitted. Plans for Poppy Day, a 50 star flag sale report, and a bake sale set for April 9 were discussed. A social hour followed with prizes awarded to Suzanne Parsons.

Edward Kaesis of Lorain was found guilty in Oberlin Municipal Court of driving while intoxicated. He was fined 250 dollars plus costs and had his license suspended for one year. A 10 day jail term was suspended for good behavior after a physician requested the jail term be withheld due to ongoing treatment.
