Judges Offered Parking Space At Harter Site
County Commissioner Glen Sponseller proposed that Fifth District Court of Appeals judges be allotted parking at the Harter annex site on Market and use bus service to reach the courthouse. Judges Putnam Montgomery and McClintock had ordered two spots at the west side of the courthouse during appeals court sessions. With 111 county cars and 12 courthouse spaces, officials questioned feasibility. Sponseller cited space and budget limits and suggested exhibiting fairness by reserving scarce spaces for officials who are on site most days. No action by the full board was reported and observers expect no action.
