Robert Ripley dies at 55 creator of Believe It or Not
Robert L. Ripley world famous cartoonist behind Believe It or Not died at 55 of a heart attack at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. He built a global empire across books radio movies and television traveling to 200 countries and employing dozens to handle his mail and material. Survivors include sister Ethel Davis and brother Douglas Ripley. Burial is planned in Santa Rosa California where he was born.
