Slot machines disappeared from private clubs and ticket jars from cafes Thursday after wide publicity about their return to popularity. Clubs locked the devices in cabinets and had them carted away by distributor agents. Ohio Liquor Control head Nicholas Sisler and his team checked clubs and bars, finding most in order. some jars were found but no arrests made. He warned that the lid must not loosen again and pledged unannounced inspections to prevent violations, with licenses at risk.
