Stark Reservists Finish 2 Week Flying Duty
Air Force reservists from Stark County finished two weeks of active duty at Warner Robins Base in Georgia with the 30th Air Service Group. The unit trained in depot activities and flew P 51s A 26s and B 29s across the country, involving 46 officers and 21 enlisted personnel from Canton Akron and Cleveland. The group included officers Second Lt Alfred Oakes Capt James Stephanides Lt George Contos Col Homer Sloan Maj James Flex Master Sgt Joseph Doody and others. All residents are from Canton except Lt Brown of Massillon.
